Changelog
What changed in each beta version of Furrget, newest first. Furrget asks before it downloads an update; see Updates.
v0.3.0-preview.25
- Update by hand, once. Furrget has a new app identity in this version, so the update from preview.24 or earlier does not install itself. Download the
.dmgand install it yourself; the steps are in Updating to v0.3.0-preview.25. Your meetings and settings stay where they are. - After updating, Settings › Permissions shows system audio as not tested: press Test again once, so Furrget knows it can hear the other participants.
- Downloads moved to github.com/furrgetlabs/furrget-releases. Links to the old address redirect there.
- A Confidential meeting is never exported through a cloud engine. If you mark a meeting Confidential while its export is waiting or running, the export stops and runs again on your computer; if you undo the mark, that export is cancelled and you press Export again. See Privacy and Confidential meetings.
v0.3.0-preview.24
11 October 2026
- Ask answers in the language of your question. An Indonesian question gets an Indonesian answer and an English one an English answer. A question that mixes the two is answered in the language most of it is written in. The follow-ups come in the same language, and Furr’s notes and the minutes stay in English. See Ask.
- Ask tells you about Confidential meetings that were left out once per chat, under the first answer it applies to, and again only when more meetings are left out. The note now says why (the engine sends text off this Mac) and what would include them, with Set one up, which opens Settings › Engines. Before, it came under every answer, with nothing to press. See Confidential meetings in Ask.
- When no passage answers a question and Confidential meetings were left out, Ask says The answer may be in the 2 Confidential meetings left out. instead of Nothing in your meetings answers that.
- When Ask cannot take a question, its box keeps saying why even when a question from the search palette is waiting in it: the reason shows in a line under the question.
- Ask suggests a follow-up only when it builds on something the answer or its sources say.
- On the notes card, Write the notes has one loader. It no longer draws a sliding bar under its turning mark; it shows the minutes so far. Steps with a count (Transcribe, Check each point) keep their bar. See Furr’s notes.
- Settings › Diagnostics keeps one line of counts, with the language, for each question in Ask, never the question or the answer.
v0.3.0-preview.23
11 October 2026
- Stop finishes the meeting wherever you press it. Stop recording in the menu of the menu bar or taskbar icon, and beside the clock at the top of the Furrget window, now closes the meeting and starts its transcript at once, as Stop in the note does. Before, they only ended the recording and left the meeting open. Pause, in the compact window, still keeps the meeting open for Resume. See Recording and the rail.
- The transcript so far keeps following after Resume, every time you resume and not only the first. Before, its lines stopped at the first pause and the rest was written after Stop.
- Resume says what it is waiting for. While Furr writes the notes or Furrget exports the minutes, it does not start, and the notice names the job: Wait for the notes to finish before you resume this meeting. or Wait for the export to finish before you resume this meeting. Before, it always named the transcription.
- Export and Regenerate notes are off while a meeting is recording or paused. See Templates and exporting.
- In the search palette, Enter on Ask about “…” asks the question in a new chat. If Ask cannot send it, because no engine is ready or another question is still being answered, the question is left in the box. See Ask.
- In Ask, a chip for a meeting whose audio was deleted shows the time without the play mark.
- If your microphone records much more quietly than the call, your lines are now told apart from Others more reliably. A microphone at the usual level is not affected.
v0.3.0-preview.22
10 October 2026
- Delete the audio of old meetings. Settings › General › Storage has a new row, Audio of meetings older than 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Delete audio… shows how many meetings and how much space it covers, asks first, and deletes the recordings for good. The transcript, notes and minutes stay; what goes is playing the evidence, transcribing again and Resume. A switch, Delete it automatically every day, does the same each day. It is off by default and asks before it turns on. See Storage and old recordings.
- A meeting whose audio was deleted says so under its title: Audio deleted on … The transcript, notes and minutes stay. It has no play controls, and Resume is off.
- A meeting page you leave open while its transcript finishes now shows Generate notes, or the steps of the notes, by itself, without leaving the page and coming back.
- If you press Resume just as a transcript finishes, the automatic notes no longer run on the old transcript. The next Stop makes a new transcript, and the notes follow it.
v0.3.0-preview.21
10 October 2026
- Export asks where to put the minutes. Export… opens your computer’s folder picker, and Furrget makes one folder named after the meeting, with the Word file, the PDF (if you chose it and LibreOffice is installed) and a Markdown file. If the name is taken, it makes Title (2). Furr’s review of the left-out points stays in Furrget. When it finishes, Show in Finder and Open in Word open the result, and if saving fails you can Try again or Choose another folder… without sending anything again. See Templates and exporting.
- One card shows the steps of the notes, Transcribe, Write the notes and Check each point (two steps for a Confidential meeting). A check mark appears only when a step has finished, and a step that fails says why. See Furr’s notes.
- Marking a meeting Confidential is clearer: the control says Not confidential, asks first, and becomes a Confidential pill. You can Undo it for 10 seconds; after that it can’t be undone. See Privacy and Confidential meetings.
- A Confidential meeting with no engine on your computer now says No engine on this Mac to write notes and offers Set up an engine on this Mac, instead of waiting without an answer. See Engines and keys.
- Spinners turn again.
v0.3.0-preview.20
9 October 2026
- Ask can keep your chats on this computer. Under your first answer it asks Keep your Ask chats?; kept chats are listed when Ask opens, with search, day groups, a meeting or project filter, Rename and Delete with Undo, and they appear in the search palette. See Ask.
- Settings › Ask turns saving on or off, shows the space saved chats take, and deletes them all.
- Quoted lines in Left out, the source card under a point and Ask’s Sources keep the speaker clear of the words. Long names are shortened, with the full name on hover, and a recording with only your microphone shows no speaker column.
v0.3.0-preview.19
8 October 2026
- The .pdf box in Export is honoured: leave it unticked and only the Word file is written. See Templates and exporting.
- Ask shows Furr’s mark and one stage line at a time while it works, follows the answer as it comes, and offers Jump to latest when you have scrolled up. See Ask.
- Buttons that start something show they are working, and counts read right for one (“1 point left out”).
v0.3.0-preview.18
8 October 2026
- Updates ask first: a new version shows Version … is available with Download and Not now, and nothing downloads until you choose Download. See Updates.
- Esc closes Settings. An open sheet or menu closes first, and a key or endpoint you were still entering is cancelled first.
- The Disclaimer table of your template is used: Furr writes this meeting’s version from your words and checks it keeps their meaning. See Templates and exporting.
Earlier
- Previews 1 to 17, 2 to 8 October 2026. The first builds of the app this guide describes, for Macs with Apple Silicon. They brought the recording rail, a notice when a meeting app starts and a live transcript while you record. After you stop, Furr writes notes and checks each point against the transcript, and you can edit them, review what Furr left out and write them again. Minutes export on your own Word template. Ask answers questions across your meetings with each sentence checked, and every project has a page with its open actions. You can search with ⌘K, find in notes with ⌘F, set the look and text size, see what Furrget stores and free up space, drop in audio files to import them, and get updates from inside the app. If you used v0.2, Furrget offers to bring over your projects, templates, settings and saved keys.
- v0.2, 29 September 2026. Projects, a Confidential switch for each meeting, transcription while you record, and minutes on your own template.
- v0.1.0, 27 September 2026. The first beta, for Macs with Apple Silicon on macOS 14.2 or later, with everything it needs inside the app.
